Elizabeth L. Hileman
Betty Brasher was born in Union City, Tennessee and she grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School (Tech) in 1965 and Indiana University in 1971. Betty has been married to Tony Hileman since 1972. The couple moved to Lausanne, Switzerland in 1974 where she worked as a Dental Hygienist. The newlyweds resided in Europe for over five years—living in Lausanne, Switzerland, Brussels, Belgium and Zurich, Switzerland. Upon their return to the States, they resided in Albany, New York where Tony worked for United Press International, while Betty attended law school. After a year working in a busy private law practice, Betty and Tony moved to Washington, D.C. in 1986. Betty has been practicing law in the metropolitan area ever since. Her first Community Association Law experience was in 1988, representing a condominium association in a warranty case against the developers of a converted condominium in Alexandria, Virginia. She assisted in preparing for a 3-week trial resulting in a six-figure judgment that she also assisted in collecting. After that case, Betty became passionate about Community Association Law, later leading the establishment of Hileman & Associates, P.C. in 2005. |
